Prof. Deepak Dubal is a globally recognized clean energy leader, multiple award-winning scientists, and a key driver of Australia’s battery manufacturing ecosystem. He has received prestigious fellowships, including Brain Korea-21 (South Korea), Alexander von Humboldt (Germany), Marie Curie (Spain), and the Australian Future Fellowship (Australia). His research directly supports the "Future Made in Australia" initiative, accelerating the transition to net-zero emissions through industry partnerships.


Recognized among the World’s Top 2% of Scientists in Energy (Stanford University) and one of Australia’s top 100 Materials Scientists, Prof. Dubal has built strong collaborations with over 25 industry partners, securing over $10M in funding for battery material manufacturing and groundbreaking supercapacitor research. His leadership has been instrumental in securing two Australian Economic Accelerator grants and an Australia–South Korea battery research initiative, fostering international talent exchange.

As group leader of the Sustainable Energy Materials Lab at QUT, Prof. Dubal currently mentors 14 researchers, with six former scholars now are leading figures in industry. His vision integrates research, industry collaboration, and workforce development, positioning Australia as a global leader in clean energy storage solutions.
